Glassed a cover for the glareshield which I later can cover with fabric/Alcantara. The slot for the cabin brace is cut out for positioning, not sure yet whether to cut it towards front or rear, so leaving it as is for now.
Glued in the Alcantara which lines the cabin top. Used spray adhesive from 3M after a nice guy from sury.ch recommended this product for my application. Good stuff! Left the sides uncovered for now, just wanted to glue the top to avoid having to do that after the top is no longer upside down… When finished, I folded the remaining piece of fabric and covered all in trash bags for protection. Ready to mount the cabin top!
Integrated a marine bilge blower into the overhead console for ventilation. It sits in the baggage area overhead and pulls the air into the overhead console from the rear naca vents. The box features two flaps hinged with a leather strip to prevent the air from leaving the overhead through the ram air inlets when there is no ram air. Blower can be removed for servicing
Bought a sewing machine for 300 bucks from a guy who fixes old machines, even includes a warranty Last experience with a sewing machine dates back to my school days over 25 years ago, so wanted to get a bit familiar with the machine and sewed some drapes for the kitchen Wore the wrong shoes for the job according to the manual :-)
